It’s been a long time since we last spoke LiO fans. We felt obliged to give you an update on what’s going on in our little world. So you’re probably wondering “is the next album done soon?” and the answer is “…sort of”. Much of it has been finished for almost two months now but we’ve had some set backs along the way. Erik has had some extreme vocal problems and hasn’t been able to sing during this time. Doctors, herbal remedies, and all the cough drops in the world haven’t been able to fix him. The good news is that he’s finally starting to get better and is undergoing vocal therapy to get back his voice. We know it’s frustrating to sit in the dark and wait for new music, so we’ve decided to share the first finished track from the album with you. The track is called Desperate and we’re trying the Radiohead “pay what you want” model for the tune. You can download it at BANDCAMP.

At NXNE this year we met lots of interesting people. One of them was Ben from My Old Kentucky Blog. He asked us to draw a picture of what our music sounds like for his blog and we couldn’t say no to an offer like that. You can check out our masterpiece HERE.

Hang in there kids. The new album will get done, we promise. We’re going to try to head to Toronto in about a month to lay down 3 more songs. And we’ll get back to playing live in October. Until then you’ll have to rock out to Desperate.
